About

Tara is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with extensive experience working with children with Autism, developmental delays, emotional disorders, and behavioral challenges. Tara specializes in Applied Behavior Analysis therapy, behavioral therapy, verbal behavior, and therapeutic program development.

Tara has over 15 years of experience in the field of applied behavior analysis; working with children, adolescents and adults. She has experience in school district consulting, home-based ABA program implementation, discrete trial teaching, Pivotal Response Training, direct instruction, functional behavior assessments, functional analysis, behavior intervention plans, staff and parent training, social skills programs, supervising behavior analyst students, and monitoring program implementation.

Tara received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Policy Analysis from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and a Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in Autism from Ball State University. She is currently pursuing a PhD. In Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Tara holds certifications in Pivotal Response Training and PEAK Relational Training System.

Tara is currently employed at Children’s Hospital Colorado as a Clinical Manager on the Neuropsychiatric Special Care Unit. Tara has 5 years of experience teaching graduate level courses in Applied Behavior Analysis, online, in-person, and blended formats.
