Kathy Langsam, licensed Marriage Family Therapist, is Senior Adjunct Professor with Golden Gate University and Adjunct Professor with John F. Kennedy University where her teaching focuses on Community Mental Health, Psychopathology, Legal & Ethical Issue in Trauma, Evidence-based Practice and Practicum. She was the 2016 recipient of Golden Gate University’s Distinguished Adjunct Professor and in 2013, the Psychology Department’s Outstanding Adjunct Professor. She is the Volume Co-editor of The Praeger Handbook of Community Mental Health Practice and the Co-editor of The Prager Handbook of Mental Health and the Aging Community. She has supervised and supported trainees, interns and licensed staff in her various roles as Director of Clinical Services, Clinical Director, Director of Training and Internship Program for eighteen years and continues to consult with agencies and trains supervisors. She is a Certified Supervisor with the California Association of Marriage Family Therapists (CAMFT). In 2015, Kathy was named CAMFT Distinguished Clinical Member of the year. She holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University.
