Lacy Martinez received her Master’s in Counseling Psychology at John F. Kennedy University, and is both pleased and honored to be able to contribute as faculty at her alma mater. She has a private practice in Oakland, where she founded Axis Mundi Center for Mental Health, a community mental health project that focuses on creating multi-culturally competent therapy and clinicians. As a therapist, she specializes in life transitions and liminal space, particularly death and dying. She is an active advocate for the experience of students and associates in the field of mental health, and contributes to the growth of more equitable and sustainable models of clinical practice.
