Early intervention has been shown to increase the functionality and capacity of individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In this intermediate online course, become familiar with the scientifically supported treatments that have been established as the most elective for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, with focus on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) based methodologies including structured (Discrete Trial Training) and naturalistic (Pivotal Response Training, etc.) teaching techniques. Learn how to help families identify, evaluate and access the best available treatments for their children iwth ASDs.

Pre-requisite required: Understanding Autism Spectrum Disorders: Assessment & Treatment of Children & Adults or familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorders

Weihe Huang, PhD, BCBA-D, is the Vice President of Creating Behavioral + Educational Momentum, a company providing services for people with developmental disorders in California and other parts of the world. Dr. Huang has translated Verbal Behavior Milestones: Assessment and Placement Program from Engilish to Chinese. He is also the author of Behavioral Intervention for Children with Autism and Developmental Disorders and Conquering Autism with Science. Dr. Huang has published several papers on developmental disabilities in peer-reviewed journals and has served as an adjunct faculty member for several universities in Nationwide over the last twenty years.
