Course Description
Explores the historical foundations of historical psychology as well as how various somatic psychology practices are applied to the development and evolution of the self. Examines somatic understandings of topics such as anxiety, excitement, stress, and personal development. Emphasizes understanding emotional expression, family systems, family interaction patterns, and self development as somatic issues. Discuss body practices such as work with breath, movement, gesture, and guided self-experience. This work can be applied clinically, socially, and personally.
