PSY5232 Clinical Skills Training C: MFT Techniques II

Course Description

Students continue to prepare for clinical work with individuals, couples, and families.  Supervised role-play and/or videotaped practice sessions are used to help students practice listening and tracking, re-focusing from content to process, mirroring and reflective listening, and creating couple and family enactments.  Students practice applying individual and systemic case conceptualizations to the beginning, middle, and end phases of therapy, and formulating clinical approaches using individual and systemic theories of practice.  This course is the Third in the three-quarter sequence with PSY 5230 and PSY 5231.
