JFK University Institute of Entrepreneurial Leadership Signs Cooperative Agreement with Donahue Gallagher Woods LLP

March 26, 2012

Pleasant Hill, CA – John F. Kennedy University’s Institute of Entrepreneurial Leadership (IEL) has signed a cooperative agreement with Donahue, Gallagher and Woods LLP, a Bay Area law firm, to provide students in the Entrepreneurship program the opportunity to receive free legal advice for a limited period.

“This is a great opportunity for our students to get essential one-on-one legal advice they need in launching their businesses, thereby increasing their ability to do things right and their potential to be successful,” said Raul A. Deju, Director of the Institute of Entrepreneurial Leadership.

The Institute aims to provide students with the training and mentoring they need to hone their business skills to successfully launch a new business. This cooperative agreement enables the IEL to expand the mentoring offered to include legal consultations that are an integral component of any business launch.

“We are pleased to partner with JFK University’s IEL to support promising entrepreneurs who are vital to our area,” noted Larry Rockwell, a partner in Donahue, Gallagher and Woods. “The first student who will be awarded these services is Lloyd Minick, a student in IEL’s Certificate program who is pursuing his dream of building an aquaponics farm raising fresh Tilapia and vegetables in an urban setting.”

“Additional students in the certificate program will be considered for this service as their business plans develop and the need for legal advice is identified,” added Dr. Deju.

The Certificate program is currently accepting applications for this spring’s Certificate Program – Advanced Track. Individuals interested in applying or learning more about the IEL should visit or email
