Commencement is a time of celebration – a time to acknowledge and applaud the many hours of coursework, lectures, and exams that you completed on the journey to your degree or certificate. Our goal is to make sure commencement is a memorable and enjoyable one for you and your friends and family.

John F. Kennedy University has two commencement ceremonies – one for the College of Law graduates so that they can begin preparation for the July Bar Exam and a general University celebration open to all graduating students.

University Commencement Ceremony
Event begins at 12:00 P.M. (Ceremony begins at 1 P.M.)
Location: Paramount Theater, Oakland, CA
Speaker: Mara Perez, PhD

Please note: You will not receive your diploma at the ceremony – it will be mailed to you within 6-8 weeks after the official conferral date for your degree or certificate.

As you cross the stage on commencement, you will be joining thousands of outstanding graduates who have invested in their education to transform not only their professional careers and personal lives, but lives in their communities and the world. We believe you will find your education from JFK University has provided you a firm foundation from which to “be the change that you wish to be in the world” (Mahatma Gandhi).
