Don't miss this symposium hosted by John F. Kennedy University's School of Law that will discuss current legal issues arising from the sub-prime mortgage crisis.

    A recent report by the Center for Responsible Lending predicts that one in five subprime mortgages originated over the past two years will end up in foreclosure. Vallejo-Fairfield is one of the top 5 metro areas nationwide expected to experience the highest foreclosure rates, with an expected 23.8%.
    • What are the trends in Contra Costa County and other parts of the Bay area?
    • What legal avenues are available to save and protect homeowners?
    • What are the legal implications for loan originators?
This event will address these questions and provide the latest information for attorneys, paralegals, real estate brokers and others concerned about this significant issue. The speakers at the event will be:
  • Geoffrey Steele and Alan Ramos, attorneys specializing in Real Estate law;
  • Professor Virginia George of JFKU School of Law and director of the Elder Law Clinic; and
  • Ken McCormick of the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.
A question and answer period will follow the speakers' presentations.

MCLE credit available.
