We thank Professor Greenleaf and Victoria Greenleaf for the stones used to construct our garden labyrinth. To date our stone sale has generated $307.54, which has been used to fund the construction of a wheelchair access pathway in the garden.

Planting Methods
A workshop on efficient use of space in the garden for growing the amount of vegetables you desire. Concepts of planting timing (making maximum use of the growing season), trellising and staking, plant spacing, succession planting, companion planting and intercropping will be presented.

French Intensive Gardening
If you are interested in growing some of your food and/or ornamentals and have a limited space, this workshop will show you how and get you on your way. This workshop focuses on the basics of growing a garden in a small space of backyard ground, patio or deck using French-intensive and Biointensive techniques of gardening. Topics include: planning the garden (what, why, when and where), constructing a garden box, irrigating the garden, composting your household garbage into nutrient-rich soil amendment, harvesting your wonderful bounty, and gopher and pest control.
Workshops are taught by Jerris Hogue, MA, Master Gardener of the Sustainability, Health and Education Garden at JFKU, alumnus of the Holistic Health Education MA Program.
