Acceleration Options

There are several options available to students to save time and money while earning the BA degree. Please speak with an advisor to learn more about these opportunities.

College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
CLEP testing is a way to earn credit for lower division breadth requirements. CLEP information is available in the School of Education and Liberal Arts office or you can learn more about the program at the CLEP website.
To register for a CLEP exam, contact the Admissions office to speak with an Admissions Evaluator.

Credit For Life Experience
JFK University values the work and life experience students bring with them when they enter our programs. Students may earn credit for knowledge gained through life experience and prior nonacademic learning if it is directly related to the overall academic program. BA students who have completed 9 units at JFKU with a cumulative JFKU grade point average of 2.7 or higher may petition for Credit by Assessment (CBA). A maximum of 30 quarter units may be earned through CBA. Learning experiences that may be assessed include formal but non-accredited classroom study, such as corporate training, professional workshops, independent scholarship and supervised volunteer training.
