Discover your talents for helping individuals, families, couples, communities, businesses, school systems, or sports professionals realize their potential and make a contribution to the world.

Our Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program, and MA programs in Counseling Psychology and Sport Psychology let you explore who you are and how you choose to serve. Our warm and welcoming environment, dedicated faculty, academically sound programs, and extensive field placements make this the best place to pursue your professional goals. Through our focus on mental health as the positive application of life skills emphasizing strengths, our graduates become leaders in the field.

Guided by our remarkable and supportive scholar-practitioner faculty —reflecting the incredible diversity of real-world skills, abilities, preferences, perspectives, and cultures—you'll polish your capacities for research, scholarship, clinical service delivery, consultation, and social advocacy. As you master these cornerstones of the profession and attend to your individual growth and spirit, you feel confident in your talents and readiness to contribute your gifts.

You'll find many opportunities to practice under professional supervision in our San Francisco Bay area Community Counseling Centers, located in Pleasant Hill and Sunnyvale. Combined, these three centers offer more than 48,000 hours of counseling services each year. In addition, you'll become part of our community forums that offer education and information on critical mental health issues, such as parenting, violence prevention, relationships, life skills, and wellness. When you choose our Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program, more than 150 agencies in the greater Bay area open their doors to welcome your practicum service.

In joining one of our fully accredited, accessible, and future-focused programs, you benefit from working with our responsive faculty who become your valued mentors and colleagues. We help you succeed through flexible learning options, including online and intensive programs. Our classes are small to promote lively discussion and idea exchange, and our academic and career services support you during enrollment and beyond.

As you seek your future in the mental health professions through the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at JFKU, you're asked to reflect on your goals and the direction of the world, to engage with people and technology and consider the interactions and effects, and to contribute your talents to the ongoing transformation.
