Next fall, John F. Kennedy University is proposing to bring its successful Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology Program to the Santa Cruz-Central Coast community (pending WASC approval).
Features of the two-year Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology Program:

training hours than other MA Counseling Psychology programs and let you complete your practicum requirement for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist more quickly

Program Overview
Classes will be held for five, 9-week terms. During the first year, three classes per term will be held on one weekday evening and one weekend day. During the second year, students will take one class during each of the five terms and complete 14 months of supervised, practicum training
at a JFKU-approved field-placement site. Additional workshops and electives will be provided as necessary to meet all Board
of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) workshop requirements for MFT licensure.
This specialized MA in Counseling Psychology Program in Santa Cruz will only accept 20 students each year.
