Clinical Coordinator

Clinical Coordinator. This is a 22 hour, grade 6 position, with an hourly salary range of $19.46 - $26.28, which includes sick and vacation benefits starting immediately.

The John F. Kennedy University Community Counseling Centers in Pleasant Hill is committed to providing high quality, affordable individual, couple, child, adolescent, family, group therapy and counseling to residents of their community and surrounding areas. Advanced graduate students enrolled in the Graduate School of Professional Psychology's MA and PsyD clinical programs provide counseling. Licensed therapists supervise counselors-in-training.

The Clinical Coordinator (CC) works directly under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services.

The CC is responsible for providing clinical and administrative guidance to staff, supervisors, and MFT trainees, interns, and PsyD students regarding training; policies/procedures; consultation if pre-licensed, or supervision if licensed; client management issues, and assessment of clients. Additional responsibilities include Clinical Orientation Training, managing the Peer Mentor Program, developing, formalizing and documenting policies and procedures (COT manual/intake). Intake related functions include coordinating client intakes, evaluating and assessing clients, facilitating client and room assignments or appropriate referrals for clients, and supervising crisis situations. The CC has the ability to assign clients to trainees, interns, and PsyD students and to create procedures along with Director of Clinical Services. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the Evaluation Committee and group therapy program. The Clinical Coordinator works with other members of the staff to administer and input data into the Penelope client and therapist tracking system.

The requirements for this position include; master's degree in clinical psychology, California licensure as a MFT, or a pre-licensed intern with at least 4 years clinical experience in an agency setting, at least 2 years administrative work experience (preferable in an educational or counseling center setting) with increasing levels of responsibility, including knowledge of complex organizational procedures and experience with delicate and confidential information. Computer skills required. AAMFT/CAMFT supervisor status a plus. A strong appreciation and demonstrated commitment to the importance of multicultural, social, and developmental contexts with regard to understanding human behavior is required.
