Course Description

This intermediate-level course shows clinicians how to further their understanding and practice of cognitive-behavioral therapy. Theories behind CBT will be reviewed, and third-generation CBT models like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) will be examined. Participants will learn in-depth practice of case formulation, treatment protocols for specific disorders, exposure and response prevention, and how to apply a CBT approach to more complex cases. This interactive course includes didactic and experiential teaching methods.
