Course Description

This experiential workshop has been designed for practicing professionals who would like to deepen their understanding of sandplay.

On day one, participants will explore the significance of the first picture created in a sandplay process by examining scenes created by clients ranging in age from five years to adulthood. On day two, participants will have the opportunity to work in pairs to experience a sandplay session by both creating a sandplay scene and acting as a sandplay therapist. Participants will also work with the symbolic elements which support and enhance the sandplay process such as art, dreams and writing.

Directions to Quail Court Office Park will be provided with your registration confirmation.

This class can be taken as a stand-alone course or as part of our Expressive Arts, Play Therapy, or Sandplay certificate program. For information about our certificate programs, click here.
