Consciousness and Transformative Studies - MA

The Master of Arts degree in Consciousness and Transformative Studies in the School of Holistic Studies offers a holistic, integral and interdisciplinary approach to self-actualization and personal, social and global transformation. Students can explore spirituality, ecology, systems theory, mind-body connection and other aspects of consciousness transformation in this unique graduate degree program.

This Master of Arts degree in Consciousness and Transformative Studies encompasses a 68-unit curriculum that integrates five fields of study: philosophy, psychology, spirituality, ecology, and quantum approaches for understanding human consciousness. Courses include new research in consciousness and transformation, as well as multi-dimensional perspectives on the evolution of consciousness and the awakening of wisdom and compassion in the world. Professional Development courses offer students the opportunity to apply their studies to education, business leadership, organizational consulting and coaching.

Optional Specializations
Students who wish to focus their studies more deeply in one area may elect to declare an optional specialization in one of five areas: Philosophy and Religion; Science and Consciousness; Culture and Consciousness; Dream Studies; or Consciousness and Healing. Each specialization is comprised of 15 units that include core courses and electives, with the exception of Dream Studies that requires 16 units. Students are not required to have a specialization to complete the MA degree.
