This is an exciting time to pursue a career in museum studies. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, job opportunities in this field are expected to increase faster than the national average - by as much as 18 percent through 2016. Museums will be looking for well-trained professionals with graduate degrees in museum studies who are prepared to face the variety of challenges that confront museums in their quest to be successful.

John F. Kennedy University's Department of Museum Studies can prepare you to enter this dynamic field, offering both a Master of Arts and Certificate in Museum Studies with specializations in collections management, public programming and administration. In addition, starting in Fall 2009 (pending final University approval), you will be able to earn an MBA concurrent with the MA in Museum Studies.
