This one-day event will bring together individuals from a variety of professions and interests, including government and mental health fields, to discuss the "best practices" strategies and cutting-edge tools to work with returning soldiers and prevent violence in our communities.

The conference will feature a keynote address by Rebecca Dominy,LCSW, OEF/OIF Coordinator for the Department of Veterans Affairs - Sierra Pacific Network and a panel of veterans from Vietnam, Desert Storm and OIF/OEF.

In addition, participants can select one of four workshops to attend in the morning and afternoon, including a presentation by Keith Armstrong, LCSW, co-author of Courage After Fire.

Mental health, medical and law enforcement professionals; representatives of agencies and community organizations; educators; and veterans and members of their families are invited to attend. Psychologists, MFTs, LCSWs and RNs can earn up to 6 hours of CE credit.
