| Continuing Education at JFK University is pleased to offer a new course, Success Built to Last, in conjunction with bestselling authors, educators and contemporary thought-leaders, Mark and Bonita Thompson. Based on the Thompson's highly-acclaimed research and writings, this pioneering program will be offered as two separate cohort sessions during October and January, 2010. The fall cohort will take place at JFK University's Pleasant Hill campus on October 24th, November 7th, and 14th. The winter cohort dates are still to be announced. This course, based on the international bestseller, Success Built to Last, will begin in a pilot phase as a leadership training program that embraces the values of John F. Kennedy University and the Thompsons. The course material reflects the shared commitment to community service, collaboration and corporate social responsibility necessary in the 21st Century. The Success Built to Last course will focus on fresh leadership techniques that help ignite growth in an era when neither organizations nor careers appear to last. Course participants will explore and engage motivation, incentives, work environments, and mindsets that inspire results. This course will draw from insights from the Thompson's Wharton-based World Success Survey conducted in over 110 nations and a Stanford-based exploratory research project involving face-to-face conversations with hundreds of individuals in dozens of fields— from Richard Branson and Steve Jobs to Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama. The initial course will be comprised of two 15-student cohorts, that will allow for an integrated and rich learning environment. The course is designed for ambitious working adults with active lives and diverse experiences - those hungry to advance to the next level in their respective careers and lives. Student scholarships are available and made possible by a generous grant from the Mark and Bonita Thompson Trust. The deadline for applications for the fall cohort program is Friday, August 28.
