Managing Difficult Situations in Supervision
|
Course Description
Supervisors sometimes find themselves in difficult situations with supervisees which, if not managed well, may result in stalled learning, poor client care and increased tension within the supervisory relationship. In this course, participants will explore challenging situations which may arise in supervision, such as uncontained anxiety, authority issues, countertransference and an inability to integrate theory or skills into practice. Participants will learn to manage these difficult situations by applying their understanding to case examples.
This course meets the BBS & BOP requirements for those who supervise psychologists, MFT interns and ASWs.
