Bryna Barsky-Ex, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and sex therapist with extensive experience conducting therapy with couples, individuals and groups. She works for Kaiser Santa Teresa as a psychologist and sex therapist in both the OB/GYN and psychiatry departments, and is an adjunct faculty member for the Continuing Education, MA and PsyD programs in psychology at JFK University. A specialist with couples and individuals struggling with issues of intimacy, sexual dysfunction and sexual enhancement, Bryna has a private practice in Fremont.

LaVon Bobo, MFT, is a retired school psychologist, a licensed educational psychologist and a teaching member of both Sandplay Therapists of America who has taught both nationally and internationally. In addition to her private practice in Palo Alto, she supervises graduate students at Santa Clara University and provides sandplay therapy in the public school setting.

Bill Bowen, MFA, LMT, is a body-psychotherapist in practice in Portland, Oregon. For 35 years, his work has focused on the interface between the body and mind in the creative process. He has taught at colleges in both Europe and the United States. Bill is trained in Rolfing and Rolfing Movement work, Hakomi Body Centered Psychotherapy, Bodynamic Analysis, Somatic Experiencing and numerous other somatic and psychological disciplines. He has studied with Ron Kurtz, Peter Levine, Lisbeth Marcher, Pat Ogden and others preeminent members of the field. Trained in biomechanics, connective tissue work, visceral and cranial work and recently in the body therapy work of Frank Lowen, Bill was a founding member of the Northwest Coalition of Body-Psychotherapy and co-founded Hakomi Integrative Somatics with Pat Ogden. Currently, he is creator and director of the Psycho-Physical Therapy Institute.

Lucia Chambers, MFT, is a teaching member of the International Society for Sandplay Therapy and a founding member of Sandplay Therapists of America who trained with Dora Kalff in Switzerland. With over 30 years in private practice in San Jose, Lucia has assisted in establishing study programs for sandplay across the United States.

Linda Clark,MA, CNC, holds a masters degree in holistic health education from JFK University and a nutrition consultant certification from Bauman College, where she is also certified as a nutrition instructor. Linda teaches graduate courses in holistic nutrition and functional endocrinology for the holistic health masters program at JFK University. She is also certified in Blood Chemistry Analysis, Functional Endocrinology and Functional Immunology with a specialty in autoimmune diseases through Apex Energetics. The owner of Universal Wellness Associates, a holistic nutrition and wellness practice located in Fair Oaks, California, Linda also teaches seminars in "Nutrition Clinical Management" for health practitioners throughout the Western United States as an instructor for Apex Energetics.

Sheri Clinchard, MA, has an MA in Holistic Health Education from JFK University, where she has served as an adjunct faculty member for four years. She is also a health educator at Kaiser Permanente, specializing in women's health and integrative movement programs. Sheri has written on a wide variety of health topics for magazines, journals and websites such as Pathways to Health, The Yogi Journal, Edible California, NaturelleHealth, The Family Caregiver and Women's World.

Harvey Cohen, MFT, has been a professor of psychology at JFK University since 1991, where he directs the expressive arts specialization and the Expressive Arts Camp. A supervisor at the JFK University Community Counseling Center in Sunnyvale and at the Teen and Family Counseling Center in Campbell, Harvey was named outstanding teacher of the year by JFK University in 2003. He maintains a private practice in Aptos.

Marlene Cresci Cohen, PhD, received her doctorate in child development from Stanford University and began studying the Enneagram in 1979. She taught many Enneagram courses with Helen Palmer, including Enneagram in Healthcare. Together, they developed the Cohen-Palmer Enneagram Inventory for self-typing. Currently, Marlene trains physicians in the Stanislaus Family Practice Residency Program in Modesto, where she is also in private practice. She is also a clinical professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine.

Leslie Davenport, MFT, is a pioneer in the field of guided imagery, applying it to the areas of psychotherapy and integrative medicine. Founder of the humanities program at Marin General Hospital, which is now the Institute for Health and Healing, she is clinical faculty at the California Pacific Medical Center and is the author of Healing and Transformation through Self-Guided Imagery.

Sandy Dibbell-Hope, PhD, DTR, is a licensed psychologist and registered dance therapist. In private practice in the East Bay since 1986, she integrates verbal and expressive arts therapy in her work with individuals, couples and families. Sandy is adjunct faculty at California Institute of Integral Studies, JFK University, and Alliant International University; a supervisor and teacher at West Coast Children's Clinic; and teacher-in-training in the Ridhwan school of AH Almaas.

Kate Donohue, PhD, REAT, is a licensed psychologist and a registered expressive arts therapist who has been in private practice for 30 years. Cofounder of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association, Kate has taught expressive arts at California Institute of Integral Studies, Institute for Transpersonal Psychology, JFK University and the San Francisco C.G. Jung Institute.

Rosalind Englander-Calo, MFT, is a therapist specializing in cognitive play therapy with children. Currently in private practice, she also has extensive experience working in community agencies, school counseling programs and with a large HMO. Rosalind provides training for school personnel, therapy interns, and in public and professional conferences.

Aaron J Feldman, MFT, has specialized in work with individuals, couples and groups for both men and women involved in abusive relationships for the past six years. He has a private practice in Pleasant Hill and in Pinole, and has facilitated Batterer Intervention Treatment Groups throughout Contra Costa County for STAND! Against Domestic Violence. Aaron also serves as an adjunct faculty member for the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at JFK University.

Rob Fisher, MFT, is a psychotherapist, consultant and CAMFT certified supervisor in private practice in Mill Valley. An adjunct faculty member at JFK University and at CIIS, Rob teaches case consultation seminars and courses in marriage and family therapy, hakomi and body oriented psychotherapy. Rob is a certified Hakomi therapist and trainer who teaches hakomi experiential psychotherapy internationally. He also teaches couples therapy at the post graduate level at a variety of agencies in San Francisco and Marin county. Publisher of the Couples Psychotherapy Newsletter and author of Experiential Psychotherapy With Couples, A Guide for the Creative Pragmatist, Rob has presented at several national conferences and has published numerous articles in the US and abroad.

Ellyn Herb, PhD, CEDS, is a licensed psychologist, certified eating disorder specialist and an adjunct faculty member at JFK University. She has maintained a private practice in South San Jose since 1983, specializing in eating disorders and women's issues. A frequent presenter at national conferences such as the International Association of Eating Disorders Specialists and the Academy for Eating Disorders, Ellyn also offers consultation to professionals and trainings at local agencies.

Jerris Hogue, MA, received his degree in holistic health education from JFK University, with a concentration in holistic nutrition. He has a private practice as a wellness coach and nutrition consultant in Benicia. Jerris developed a six-week program on integrative sexual expansion that offers an integrative and empowering approach to addressing erectile dysfunction for men and their partners. He has studied the use of medicinal herbs for health for seven years and owned a small herbal business named Madrone Herbs.

Jackie Holmes, MEd, MFT, is the founder and director of Casa Serena, an intensive outpatient eating disorders program in Concord. A respected speaker on issues related to eating disorders for the last 22 years, Jackie has worked in a variety of treatment settings and has developed a practical hands-on approach to working with the clients of eating disorders and their families. She is currently writing a book on spirituality and recovery issues with the eating disordered population.

Bret Johnson, PhD, works with diverse abusive families, spouses and partners as an evaluator and mediator for the Santa Cruz County Superior Court and with HIV and AIDS clients in the public and private sector. The author of Coming Out Every Day: A Gay, Bisexual and Questioning Man's Guide, he has a private practice in Santa Cruz, where he specializes in work with gay men and their families.

Ninette Larson, MA, MFT, is a pioneer in the field of grief education with 17 years of experience as a grief therapist and educator. She maintains a private psychotherapy practice in San Ramon, teaches Overcoming Depression classes for Kaiser and has provided over 100 workshops on grief for a variety of organizations. Ninette also ran the Children's and Teen Bereavement program at a local hospice for seven years.

Nancy Levine-Jordano, LCSW, has a private practice for psychoanalytic psychotherapy in Oakland and Walnut Creek. A graduate and faculty member of the Masterson Institute for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, she is currently completing a certificate program for couple therapy with Terrence Real. Nancy also supervised graduate students at the Wright Institute and Children's Hospital-Oakland. She is the president of the West Coast Masterson Institute Alumni Association.

Howard Liebgold, MD, is a board-certified specialist in rehabilitation and has taught a large mix of anxiety classes and workshops on a local and national level over the past 20 years. The 1991 California Physician of the Year, he served as head of Phobease adult and children's classes at Kaiser Vallejo. His unique cognitive behavioral approach has helped over 15,000 clients overcome their phobias and obsessive and compulsive disorders. He is author of Curing Anxiety, Phobias, Shyness and OCD and Freedom from Fear - Overcoming Anxiety, Panic and Phobias.

Gretchen Lindner, PhD, completed her doctoral training at Georgia State University and her internship at the Palo Alto VA Health Care System (PAVA). She also completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowship with the SFVA's PTSD Clinical Team, specializing in the treatment of OIF/OEF veterans. Gretchen currently works with the PAVA PTSD Clinical Team treating veterans with war-related stress reactions. Her approach to treatment incorporates cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, psychodynamic and family systems perspectives, and she provides individual, group, and family therapy.

Brian Lippincott, PhD, is a psychologist with a private practice in Hollister. He is the clinical director for the counseling center at California State University - Monterey Bay, and adjunct faculty at JFK University in Campbell. Philip Manfield, PhD, has been a psychotherapist in private practice in the Bay Area for over 30 years and has taught EMDR in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. In 2001, he was featured in the book 3 Minute Consultations with America's Greatest Psychotherapists. The author of Split Self/Split Object and editor of EMDR Casebook and Extending EMDR: A Casebook of Innovative Applications, he is currently Northern California Regional Coordinator of the EMDR International Association.

Catherine Marshall, MA, has worked with nonprofits since 1982, serving as a volunteer, board member, founder and executive director. For nearly 10 years, she served as CEO of CAMEO, an association of nonprofits providing microenterprise development in California. While at CAMEO, Catherine led several advocacy campaigns and public education efforts that resulted in millions of dollars of program and capacity building funding for California nonprofits. She holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in organizational psychology from JFK University.

Maria Mattioli, MFT, teaches psychology for the undergraduate and graduate counseling pro grams at JFK University and for San Jose City College. She has a private practice in Santa Cruz, where she specializes in experiential couple therapy and provides instruction on process painting, a method that helps connect clients to their innate creativity.

Joe Mattox, PhD, is the President of J. Mattox & Associates Consulting Group. For the past 25 years, he has held both internal and external consulting positions in organizational development, leadership development and change management spanning multiple industries including: high tech, financial services, healthcare, government, biotech, consulting, higher education and healthcare. Joe has presented his award winning program Working Across Generations at local and national conferences and at several companies throughout the United States.

Linda Shanti McCabe, MA, is a therapist at the Ohlhoff Intensive Outpatient Eating Disorder Program in San Francisco. She has worked at various residential and outpatient rehabs, including Baker Places and Bayside Marin, for the past six years. Currently in the process of completing her doctoral work in clinical psychology at the Insititute of Imaginal Studies in Petaluma, Linda's clinical case study focuses on using expressive arts to re-image the body. An artist who has exhibited her work throughout the Bay Area, she incorporates movement, meditation, drawing, collage and painting, as well as the 12 steps into her clinical practice.

Mary McCloy, RN, MFT, is a certified eating disorders therapist and a masters-prepared psychiatric nurse who has been working in the field of eating disorders for over 10 years. She has taught psychopharmacology at San Jose City College and numerous workshops on eating disorders and addictions. A founding member of Connection Counseling Associates, she has a private practice in San Jose specializing in eating disorders.

Rachel Michaelsen, LCSW, is the training consultant at Asian Pacific Psychological Services in Oakland, where she has supervised graduate students, doctoral students, ACSWs and MFTIs since 1998. A CAMFT-certified supervisor who received a certificate in Advanced Clinical Supervision from Smith College School for Social Work, she has taught courses in clinical supervision at JFK University, Alliant International University and NASW. Rachel maintains a private practice in Oakland.

Maria Miller, MFT, specializes in eating disorders. She has worked extensively with adolescents with eating disorders as part of the eating disorders program team at Alta Bates Herrick Hospital in Berkeley, an inpatient psychiatric setting. Maria also works with clients and leads groups at the Casa Serena Intensive Outpatient Eating Disorder Program in Concord. She maintains a private practice in Concord and Berkeley.

Ephimia Morphew-Lu, MS, CN, is a certified nutritionist specializing in the area of nutritional psychology. A former NASA senior research psychologist, she is the founder & former editor-in-chief of the international, peer-reviewed journal The Journal of Human Performance in Extreme Environments. Ephimia maintains a private practice in Santa Clara.

Elise Nawrocki, MPM, MEd, has taught a variety of eCommerce, MIS, and business/management courses online for JFK University's School of Management, and has worked the last eight years as a researcher at a Top 20 U.S. university. Her areas of specialty are eCommerce, management information systems and security.

Cazeaux Nordstrum, MFT, is a licensed psychotherapist in private practice in Walnut Creek and San Rafael, with 25 years as a specialist in the area of aging and acute, chronic and life-threatening illnesses. She teaches courses on the assessment and treatment of mental illness in older adults for JFK University Continuing Education and at UC Berkeley extension, and for the last 10 years has designed and taught cross-cultural educational programs on the topics of aging, dementia, care-giving, depression, anxiety and mental health issues. Cazeaux has also served as support for staff and families in the areas of death, dying and grief in Japan.

Steven Nouriani, PhD, MFT, is an international speaker who has presented at a number of conferences and workshops over the past ten years. With more than 27 years of clinical experience specializing in depth psychotherapy and eating disorders, Dr Nouriani is an advanced candidate at the C. G. Jung Institute of San Francisco. He maintains a private practice in San Francisco and San Jose, offering depth psychotherapy to individuals, couples and groups in Persian and English.

Carol Odsess, PhD, is a licensed psychologist with a private practice in Albany. Her work emphasizes EMDR and the energy psychology method, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Carol is both an EMDRIA approved consultant in EMDR and an EMDRIA certified clinician. She is also an advanced practitioner and trainer of EFT.

Rhoda Olkin, PhD, is a licensed psychologist and a distinguished professor of clinical psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, San Francisco. She received her doctorate from UC Santa Barbara and her BA in psychology from Stanford University. Author of the well-received What Psychotherapists Should Know About Disability and the video Disability-Affirmative Therapy: A Beginner's Guide, Rhoda has been teaching and training therapists in CBT for over 20 years. She maintains a private practice in Walnut Creek and also does expert witness work.

Rena Palloff, PhD, has been a consultant to Trinity Treatment Group, developing and managing inpatient and outpatient chemical dependency treatment programs. She has taught courses in addiction treatment at JFK University, California State University-Hayward, and Capella University. Currently a managing partner of Crossroads Consulting Group, working with institutions, organizations and corporations interested in the development of online distance learning and training programs, Rena has consulted extensively in healthcare, academic settings, and addiction treatment for over 20 years. A faculty member at Fielding Graduate Institute and at Capella University, she co-authored the 1999 Frandson Award-winning book Building Learning Communities in Cyberspace: Effective Strategies for the Online Classroom; Lessons from the Cyberspace Classroom; The Virtual Student; and Collaborating Online: Learning Together in Community.

Helen Palmer, MA, is an internationally recognized teacher and best-selling author of The Enneagram: Understanding Yourself & Others in Your Life and The Enneagram in Love & Work: Understanding Your Intimate & Business Relationships. Cofounder of The Enneagram Professional Training Program and founding director of the International Enneagram Association, Helen teaches the first Enneagram course approved for psychologists online through JFK University.

Meg Patterson, MFT, is a psychodynamic psychotherapist in private practice since 1987. Based in Berkeley, she currently serves as a consultant to licensed mental health professionals and has been a supervisor to interns for the past 15 years. Meg is also an adjunct faculty member at Dominican University, where she teaches graduate courses to counseling psychology students.

Diana Poulson, MFT, has served in a variety of leadership positions over the years, most recently, as president of the Redwood Empire Chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. Diana teaches at Santa Rosa Junior College and the University of San Francisco, and facilitates personal and professional development workshops in a variety of settings throughout the Bay Area. She has worked as a counselor and program coordinator at several local non-profit organizations, including Sonoma County Battered Women's Shelter, Social Advocates for Youth and Sonoma County Adult and Youth Development. Diana holds a BA in Sociology from Sonoma State University and a MA in Counseling from the University of San Francisco.

Gilbert Reyes, PhD, is a national and international figure in the field of disaster mental health. A clinical psychologist and an associate dean at Fielding Graduate University, he has responded to a variety of major disasters, teaches nationally and internationally on disaster mental health, and consults with the Terrorism and Disaster Center (TDC) of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network. Dr Reyes co-edited the Handbook of International Disaster Psychology and Community-Based Psychological Support: A Training Manual for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (Switzerland). He is currently the head of the Disaster Relief Committee in the Trauma Division of the American Psychological Association.

Julie Robbins, LCSW, has served as a psychotherapist, consultant and trainer for over 29 years in the areas of family violence, child abuse and maltreatment, high conflict custody disputes, trauma, anxiety disorders, child development, adoption and parenting. The Victim Services Director for the San Francisco Department of Public Health and an adjunct faculty member of both JFK University and Alliant University, Julie also serves on the Board of the California Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (CAPSAC). She co-authored the second edition of The Child Sexual Abuse Custody Dispute Annotated Bibliography and maintains a private practice in San Francisco.

Kate Rome, MFT, has worked extensively with children and families in school settings, and specializes in child abuse cases. She has also been involved in the California Association for Play Therapy (CALAPT) since 2003, serving as chapter president and on the executive board. Kate has served in different teaching capacities at JFK University for the past five years, and has taught clinical orientation at the JFK University Counseling Center.

Mark Rosenthal, LCSW, has been a clinical social worker at the Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute Partial Hospitalization Program since 2000 and has a private practice in San Francisco, where his primary focus has been working with patients with borderline personality disorder. With extensive experience providing individual and group therapy using dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) techniques, he also provides training to psychiatric residents and other staff on DBT.

Luana Rowland, MFT, is a teaching member of the International Society for Sandplay Therapy who studied with Dora Kalff. She has been a practicing sandplay therapist for nearly 20 years. Cofounder of the Sandplay Therapy and Training Institute, she currently lives and practices in Hawaii.

Linda Satchell, MFT, specializes in expressive arts therapy and facilitates art therapy groups in a variety of settings, including specialized children's groups, drug and alcohol treatment centers and residential mental health facilities. An adjunct faculty member at JFK University, Linda also serves as clinical supervisor at Kinship Center in Salinas and has a private practice in Pacific Grove.

Michael Stephens, MFT, CMT, has worked in the field of grief and loss at a number of hospice and healthcare agencies for the last five years, including Kaiser Hospice, Hospice of Contra Costa County, Mercy Hospice and The Wellness Community. He has made several presentations on issues surrounding grief and loss, and has taught classes on the subject at UC Berkeley Extension, JFK University and Samuel Merritt. Michael has published articles on loss and developed a bereavement manual that is currently being used in grief groups run by Kaiser Hospice and Hospice of Contra Costa County. He has a private practice in Walnut Creek.

Paula Szloboda, RN, MA, MBA, NI, received her MA in Holistic Health Education from JFK University, where she now serves as an assistant professor. She is also certified through Bauman College as a Nutrition Instructor and a therapeutic whole foods chef. Paula maintains a private practice as an integrative health educator, nutrition consultant and wellness coach, working with individuals facing health challenges.

Daniel Taube, JD, PhD, has been providing continuing education to licensed mental health professionals for almost 10 years. He received his JD from Villanova University and his PhD in clinical psychology from Hahnemann University, as a member of the Hahnemann/Villanova Joint Psychology and Law Graduate Program. The program director and a professor in the doctor of psychology program at Alliant International University's California School of Professional Psychology, San Francisco, Dan is a member of both the child/family track and the forensic family child track, which he founded. His interests include legal and ethical issues in mental health practice, child protection, addiction, and disability and parenting.

Peter VanOot, PhD, has an MA in physiological psychology and his doctorate in clinical psychology. He worked at SUNY Buffalo in psychopharmacological research in the medical school and has pre- and postdoctoral training in rehabilitation neuropsychology. Peter maintains a consultation- and assessment-based neuropsychology private practice in Oakland and also consults on pharmacology. He is a licensed psychologist and a member of APA's Division 40 and 38, as well as the National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN) and the Northern California Neuropsychology Forum (NCNF).

Pete Walker, MFT, is director of the Lafayette Counseling Center and has been working as a teacher and mental health professional for almost 30 years. The author of The Tao of Fully Feeling: Harvesting Forgiveness Out of Blame, he has presented on the treatment of trauma at the 41st Annual CAMFT Conference and at several EBCAMFT chapter meetings.

Theresa Raymer Wildt, MFT, is a core faculty member in the masters counseling psychology program at JFK University, Campbell campus. She has taught several courses at various universities, including Clinical Skills, Systemic Theory and Family Therapy, Brief Therapy, Couples Therapy, Advanced Couples Therapy, Advanced Family Therapy, Structural Family Therapy and Gottman Theory. Theresa's clinical experience includes counseling, supervisory and administrative positions in community mental health and private practice specializing in couple and family therapy.

Daniel Wile, PhD, is a clinical psychologist with 30 years' experience as a couples therapist. He received his PhD from UC Berkeley, where he is an assistant clinical professor. A diplomate in clinical psychology of the American Board of Professional Psychology, Dr Wile has published on psychotherapeutic theory as well as couples therapy, teaches in several graduate programs in the San Francisco Bay Area, gives professional workshops on couples therapy throughout the United States, and is the author of Couples Therapy: A Nontraditional Approach; After the Honeymoon, How Conflict Can Improve Your Relationship; and After the Fight: Using Your Disagreements to Build a Stronger Relationship.

Herbert Wong, PhD, currently serves as professor of psychology and research director for the Graduate School of Professional Psychology (GSPP) and adjunct professor for the School of Education and Liberal Arts (SELA) at JFK University. Dr Wong teaches courses in Research Methods, Quantitative and Qualitative Techniques, Statistics, Research Design, Brief Therapy, Theories of Therapeutic Process, Multicultural and Diversity Awareness, Existential Psychotherapy, Gestalt Therapy, Group Psychotherapy, Project Proposal Development, and Thesis Research. As the founding Executive Director of the Richmond Area Multi-Services, Inc. (RAMS) Community Mental Health Center, Dr Wong developed the first multicultural, multilingual, comprehensive mental health center which provides services in 17 languages in San Francisco, which was later used as a model for other multi-ethnic communities throughout the United States. Dr Wong maintains a consulting practice in San Ramon.

Shelly Young, MA, LPC, CAC III, is a licensed professional counselor and certified addiction counselor in Boulder, Colorado. She has taught mindfulness for over 25 years and has conducted workshops and continuing education seminars in over 100 cities in the United States at venues such as the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Bethesda Naval Medical Center, Sierra Tucson Treatment Center, University of New Mexico and Denver Health Addiction Counselor Training Program. Shelly maintains a private practice in mindfulness-based psychotherapy and a nationwide phone consultation service.
