Sandplay Certificate

All Continuing Education Certificate courses may be taken as either certificate courses or as stand-alone Continuing Education courses.

Sandplay is a nonverbal form of therapy for children and adults, that facilitates the natural capacity for healing in the psyche. Developed by the Swiss analyst Dora Kalff, sandplay has emerged over the past decade as an important therapeutic modality worldwide. In sandplay, an individual creates a concrete manifestation of the inner imaginable world using sand, water and miniature objects. To understand the symbolic significance of placing miniature figures in the sand requires a breadth and depth of knowledge in areas of Jungian psychology, symbolism, archetypes, mythology, as well as cross-cultural and imaginal psychology.

This sandplay certificate is designed for practicing therapists and mental health professionals who are drawn to the nonverbal and symbolic world. It is especially suited to those who wish to enhance their understanding of the psyche and want to integrate a therapeutic modality into their work that transcends language barriers and facilitates healing at the deepest levels.
