Before applying to JFKU, you must have completed at least 45 quarter units (30 semester units)(Legal Studies requires 54 quarter units or 36 semester units and must include 2 Freshman English or composition classes or writing and critical thinking with a C or better) of transferable general education courses in these areas:
  • Communication: 9 units
  • Mathematics: 3 units
  • Humanities: 12 units
  • Social science: 12 units
Alternate assessments include:
  • College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
  • Defense Activity for Nontraditional Education Support (DANTES) assessment of military service
  • corporate-sponsored learning programs

While each JFKU program maintains specific requirements and instructions for application, everyone must submit:

  • Completed Application/Statistical Information Form
  • Non-refundable application fee ($55)
  • Two sets of official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
  • Personal statement or statement of purpose (Business Administration does not require a personal statement or statement of purpose)
Pre-admission interviews also may be required.
