Institute of Entrepreneurial Leadership
Department Head: Dr. Raul Deju
The Institute of Entrepreneurial Leadership (IEL) at JFK University offers a powerful program designed for today’s entrepreneurs, who are at the heart of future business growth and job creation in the Bay Area.
Through its certificate programs, the IEL program provides courses and advising that prepare students to deal with the practical realities of building and running a business.
Through the College of Graduate and Professional Studies, the IEL offers a specialization in Entrepreneurial Leadership for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, which empowers students to convert ideas from the classroom into socially responsive, sustainable businesses.
Mentorship is a key component of both the certificate program and MBA specialization. Students have the opportunity to work with and learn from successful entrepreneurs, angel investors, and top level executives who have grown and run billion dollar companies. They also enjoy access to resources and capital and a wide array of networking opportunities.
In partnership with the City of Concord, the IEL also offers students in the Advanced Track Certificate program access to a business accelerator – a 6,300 square foot space offering shared office services, access to basic administrative equipment, and conference room space.
In addition, the IEL offers seminars and short courses focused on key small business topics led by expert leaders.
Spend your time on real businesses, real challenges, and real solutions at the IEL at JFK University.
