Lower Division General Education Courses
Fulfill Your General Education Requirements This Summer.
John F. Kennedy University is pleased to offer the following six (6) lower division general education courses online this summer.
COR1100 Effective College English I
COR1130 Introduction to Mass Communications
COR1150 Information Literacy and Report Writing
COR1170 College Algebra & Trigonometry
HUM1100 Introduction to Philosophy
PYC1100 Introduction to Psychology
Each course counts for 4.5 quarter units (3 semester units) and meets a general education requirement of the California community college, State University, and University of California systems.
The courses each take one month to complete and will be offered starting July 16. (An additional session may be offered - contact the Admissions Office for more information.) Students can take multiple courses during a session.
To take a course, you must first apply to the University as a “non-degree student”; however, NO copies of transcripts are required.
We invite you to submit a paper application. Download the application under “Related Downloads” on the right side of this page. For instructions on how to apply online, contact the Admissions Office.
Once your application is received, an Admissions Counselor will contact you to assist you in registering for courses, as well as answer any questions you may have.
Once you have been registered for the courses, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the courses online.
The total tuition for each course is $400.
Individuals currently receiving financial aid through a community college or college will need to work with the financial aid office at that institution to receive financial aid as students cannot receive financial aid from two institutions at the same time. Individuals are encouraged to contact the financial aid offices at their current institutions as soon as possible.
