After obtaining her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of, Deborah Panter joined the San Francisco law firm of O'Connor, Cohn, Dillon & Barr where she defended lawsuits involving serious injury (including HIV infection) and wrongful death, with an emphasis on products liability and medical malpractice. In 2000, she joined the Law Offices of Daniel P. Beaver, practicing in a wide range of real estate and business litigation matters. In 2003, Deborah joined the faculty at Saint Mary's College of California in the Law Studies Department. Then, in 2006, Deborah began at John F. Kennedy University as an adjunct faculty member, teaching in the B.A. in Legal Studies and Paralegal Certificate Program. She has developed and continues to teach courses in Litigation, Constitutional Law, Torts, Ethics and the Capstone. Deborah became full-time core faculty at JFKU as an Associate Professor in July 2010.
