HSC4100 Introduction to Epidemiology

Course Description

Designed to provide an exploration of the basic principles of epidemiology, students learn how to identify and describe problems, formulate research hypotheses, select appropriate research study designs, and apply the results to prevent and control disease and health-related events.  Students come away with a solid foundation of basic casual theory for identifying determinants of adverse health-related states or events and will gain a better understanding of the biological principles underlying the natural cause of disease. Hybrid format.
