COR4800 Service Learning A

Course Description

An opportunity for experiential learning, exploring career paths, and contributing to the community. With the service project coordinator, students select an internship appropriate to their specialization or interests and spend an average of six hours per week over two academic quarters applying theories learned in the classroom to supervised training and practice. With instructor’s approval, students may forgo the second quarter of internship and instead engage in other service projects such as researching and presenting a public policy proposal or writing a grant request for a nonprofit agency.
