Denis currently teaches with Notre Dame de Namur University (Belmont) and John F. Kennedy University (Pleasant Hill). He teaches in the fields of Management, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Conflict Resolution and Administrative Law. He also serves as a Writing Laboratory instructor for the University of Phoenix, where he was an adjunct faculty member since from 1997-2007.

He was honored as the Graduate Faculty Member of the Year (2002) by the University of Phoenix and is a former Area Chair for Training in the Undergraduate Business Program at U.O.P.

He consults with many small community nonprofits and, most recently, provided services in strategic planning, fundraising, and conflict resolution.
