Gerardo Rodriguez-Menendez, PhD

Gerardo Rodriquez-Menendez, PhD, is Dean of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies and a contributing faculty member in the PsyD program at JFK University.  He earned his PhD in clinical psychology, with a concentration in neuropsychology, and an MS in general psychology from Carlos Albizu University. Additionally he completed a postdoctoral master’s in Clinical Psychopharmacology from Nova Southeastern University.

A licensed psychologist, his career spans a broad spectrum of responsibilities in education, administration, research, and consulting. From 2010 – 2012, he served as the Interim Dean of the School of Psychology at Fielding Graduate University. From 2001 – 2007 he served as the Chancellor at Carlos Albizu University, Miami Campus. He also maintains a private consulting practice assisting institutions of higher education and business organizations in areas of strategic planning, leadership coaching, accreditation and licensing, academic governance and ethics, program development, and faculty development.

Dr. Rodriguez is a practicing psychologist and a frequent presenter at conferences across the country. Among his areas of expertise are promoting minority enrollment in clinical psychology programs and developing multicultural training models. Dr. Rodriquez is bilingual and has published on psychology topics in both English and Spanish.
