Laura JonesFaculty College of Psychology and Holistic Studies
Laura Jones joined JFK University in 2015 as Core Faculty for the Undergraduate Psychology Program at the San Jose Campus. She teaches a range of classes from Abnormal Psychology to Senior Capstone. Laura earned her Master’s degree in Experimental Psychology at San José State University.
During her time as a graduate student, Laura researched adolescent athletes and alcohol consumption, specifically at mediating variables sociotropy/autonomy and perceived norms. Concurrently, Laura worked at Stanford University in the Etkin Lab, focusing on fear networks in the brain and identifying a common neurological substrate for mental illness. Prior to joining JFK University, Laura began her career at San José State University, where she has taught courses including Sensation and Perception, Child Psychology, and Writing Workshop.
