Professor Kanios is a full-time member of the School of Law's core faculty. From 1986-1996 he was dean of New College School of Law in San Francisco. He was admitted to practice in California in 1980 and worked in a civil litigation firm specializing in labor law (union side) and plaintiff's personal injury. His innovative, multi-disciplinary course on the Trial of Socrates includes a study/travel component in Greece to visit ancient sites. Professor Kanios currently chairs the Admissions Committee and the Curriculum Committee. He also sits on the university's Faculty Senate Executive Committee.
