Professor Lawley is a full-time core faculty member. She has been admitted to practice in California and Washington. After working as a judicial extern for Federal District Court Judge Thelton E. Henderson, Ms. Lawley devoted five years of her practice to the issues of domestic violence and child abuse. During the last 10 years, Ms. Lawley has also taught a variety of law courses at Golden Gate University, New College of California, San Francisco Law School, and Lincoln Law School in San Jose. Currently, Ms. Lawley chairs the School of Law Student Conduct Committee and is the school's representative on the university's Program Review Council on educational effectiveness. She is also the School of Law's representative to the Editorial Board of the Contra Costa County Bar Association. Prof. Lawley was honored as Professor of the Year in 2000 and 2003.
