Sean Fitzpatrick oversees all the research components of the MA Sport Psychology Program. This includes the students thesis work and applied projects. He also teaches Health Psychology, Exercise Psychology, he co-teaches Comprehensive Exploration of Diversity in Sport, runs some of the group supervision classes and supervises individuals during internship work.
Sean comes to John F. Kennedy University from West Virginia University where he received his Ph.D. in Sport and Exercise Psychology in May of 2012. He was a full time instructor at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana during the Spring Semester of 2012. Sean also completed two master's degrees (Sport and Exercise Psychology and Community Counseling) in addition to his undergraduate degree at West Virginia University.
Sean's research interests mainly lie on the exercise side of the Sport and Exercise field. He has a particular interest in the promotion of physical activity with cancer survivors during and after treatment; both his dissertation and master's thesis were within this research area.
In his spare time Sean enjoys traveling, being a novice surfer, and pretending to be a chef. He is originally from South Bend, IN.
