Olivia Herriford, a leadership training and development consultant and business strategy and execution coach, holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Applied Mathematics from Northrop University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix, John Sperling School of Business and a Doctor of Management (DM) from the University of Phoenix, School of Advanced Studies. She is adjunct faculty for John F. Kennedy University and University of Phoenix teaching and developing curriculum for business and leadership courses in the undergraduate business and MBA programs.
Olivia is a certified Gazelles International business coach with expertise in assisting social sector organizations and high-growth businesses with development and execution of growth strategies. She applies her certification as a mediator to work as a volunteer in the Center for Human Development's conflict resolution programs and to practical approaches to conflict management through workshops and team coaching.
Olivia is a board member of East Bay Coaches, a chapter of the International Coaches Federation (ICF), Vice Chair for the Bayview Hunters Point YMCA, and Board Vice President at the Attitudinal Healing Connection of Oakland. In addition to ICF, she is a member of the American Society for Training and Development, the American Society of Association Executives, and the International Association of Facilitators.
Leveraging the research and findings from her dissertation, Emotional Intelligence and High-technology Organizational Culture, Doctor Olivia has developed and delivered workshops on Creating a Culture of Leadership, Cultural Sensitivity and Conflict Management, and Influencing Sustainable Change. Her most recent publication is Leadership Strategies for Embedding Innovation in Organizational Culture in Volume V of the Refractive Thinker.
Dr. Herriford lives in Walnut Creek, California and travels to Kenya on a regular basis, where she works with social sector organizations and businesses through the Kenya Institute of Management in support of Kenya's Vision 2030.
