Theresa Silow, Ph.D., directs the Somatic Psychology Specialization and practices as a somatic psychotherapist. She was a Fulbright Scholar and received her PhD in Somatic Studies from The Ohio State University. Her dissertation was an inquiry into the function and meaning of sensation, particularly as it pertains to the sense of self. Her publications focus on philosophical, developmental, and spiritual aspects of embodiment. Her teaching focuses on somatic psychology principles, body/ movement awareness, developmental issues, and embodied spirituality. Dr. Silow explores embodied experience as the foundation for psychological functioning and spiritual awakening.
