Theresa Raymer

Professor College of Graduate and Professional Studies
Counseling Psychology

Theresa Raymer is Core Faculty at JFKU in the M A in Counseling/MFT & PCC program, San Jose campus. Courses Ms Raymer teaches include Clinical Skills A, B and C; Marriage and Family Therapy Theories I, II and III; Couples Therapy; Gottman Couples Therapy; Structural Family Therapy; Brief Therapy; and Family Life Cycle.

Professor Raymer was a faculty member at JFKU from 1992 to 1999, where she served as a Clinical Supervisor at the (former) Pleasant Hill Counseling Center, and Director of the Advanced Couple and Family Therapy specialization. From 1999 to 2007, she was with City University of Seattle, in the positions of Senior Faculty in the M A in Counseling Psychology program and Graduate Programs Director/School of Arts and Sciences. In 2007, Ms Raymer returned to JFKU as faculty at the San Jose (formerly Campbell) campus. In addition to her academic work, Ms Raymer has worked in community mental health as a clinician, clinical supervisor and clinical administrator. She also has many years' experience in private practice.
