SPC5551 Marriage and Family Counseling A

Course Description

This is an introduction to the principles and methods of marriage and family counseling including family systems theories, methods for assessment of family/couples interaction patterns, and intervention strategies appropriate to different types of dysfunctions. Clinical interventions include experiential and somatic techniques. The relationship between family systems and principles of holism are discussed. Multicultural family and relational diversity is a focus.
