COR3300 Research Methods

Course Description

Students will learn about some of the basic concepts of research and how it might be relevant in their lives. Knowledge claims behind the two distinctly different approaches of quantitative and qualitative research will be explored. The course will then concentrate on qualitative research as a method of inquiry that best fits with many questions asked in the social sciences. Student will be exposed to the most common qualitative research approaches through seeking out and reading research with a specific methodology in their field of interest. This course is offered in hybrid format.
