Expanded Veteran Center Opens at JFK University through $326,000 Federal Grant

PLEASANT HILL, CA – Addressing a growing need to serve the region's student veteran population, John F. Kennedy University held a dedication ceremony for its newly expanded veteran service center, which is twice as large as its previous site. The VALOR Center – which stands for Veterans Academic Ladder for Opportunity and Resilience - provides an enhanced and integrated suite of services to veteran students, and is the result of a $326,000 federal grant from the Department of Education.

John F. Kennedy University Awards Stipends to 30 Graduate Students in Mental Health Discipline

PLEASANT HILL, CA - Pleasant Hill, CA – John F. Kennedy University awarded 30 graduate students in the University's Counseling Psychology program $10,000 counselor-in-training stipends at a ceremony held at the Pleasant Hill campus on January 15. The stipends provide support to students while they complete fieldwork at the University's mental health counseling centers in Concord, Sunnyvale, and Oakland, and in counseling programs in local school districts through the centers' school-based program.

Hispanic Undergraduate Success Center to Open at JFK University Through $2.6 Million Federal Grant
