Join JFK University's Sport Psychology program as it hosts Lesley Paterson, professional triathlete, owner of Braveheart Coaching, 2011 and 2012 XTERRA World Champion, and 2012 ITU Cross Triathlon World Champion.
Lesley Paterson will talk about the mental training strategies that she uses to train her mind to perform like the World Champion she is. Having been an elite athlete for several years, she is passionate about speaking with athletes of all levels about how to get the most from their bodies by thinking like a champion.

About the Speaker
As a result of her endless dedication and unstoppable spirit, Lesley Paterson is a three time world champion in the sport of triathlon, an entrepreneur, actress, and film producer.
Formally trained in acting with a master’s degree in Theatre Arts from San Diego State University, Lesley is keen to leverage her number one position as the top off-road triathlete in the world. She has appeared in nearly two dozen independent films and has been highlighted in dozens of publications worldwide, including feature articles and covers for such publications as Triathlete, Inside Triathlon, 220 Triathlon, and Lava .
In addition, the past 18 months have proved very successful for Lesley. Along with winning the 2011 and 2012 Xterra off-road triathlon world championships in Maui, she also won the 2012 ITU cross-tri world championships. In 2013, Lesley has won the first three Xterra regional championships in the United States, along with Xterra Philippines.
She has also won a number of professional mountain bike races, including the Whiskey 50 and a US Cup race.
When Lesley is not outside training and racing, she is coaching other athletes or running bootcamps through her company, Braveheart Coaching.
