At JFK University, you are welcome to take courses for academic credit without enrolling in a degree program. If you are interested in doing so, you need to apply for admission as a non-degree student.
While non-degree students are not required to undergo a formal admissions process, departmental approval will be required prior to registering.
NOTE: Non-degree students are not eligible for financial aid.

Individuals can apply online or download an application (see "Related Downloads" on sidebar) to complete and submit. Please type or print legibly on the application form and be sure to provide all requested information, as well as sign and date the application.
Nonrefundable Application Fee
A nonrefundable application fee of $40 must accompany the application form. Please make checks payable to John F. Kennedy University.
Transcripts, personal statements or letters of recommendation may be required by the program for which the individual is applying. Please check with the Office of Admissions regarding these requirements.

If you decide to apply for admission to a degree program later, you will need to submit an application, pay the appropriate non-refundable fee, and complete all admission requirements for the desired program. Admission as a non-degree student does not guarantee admission to a degree or certificate program. A maximum of 30 percent of a program’s requirements may be completed as non-degree, with the exception of the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program where all coursework must be taken in residence and within the qualifying degree program as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
