Admission Checklist - Undergraduate
Please take a few minutes to review these requirements to the undergraduate programs in preparing to submit your application.
General Education Requirements
Before applying to JFK University, you must have completed at least 45 quarter units (30 semester units) of transferable general education courses in these areas:

NOTE: Legal Studies requires 54 quarter units or 36 semester units that must include 27 General Education units, including two Freshman English, composition, or writing and critical thinking classes with a C or better.
Alternate assessments include:
- College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
- Defense Activity for Nontraditional Education Support (DANTES) assessment of military service
- Corporate-sponsored learning programs

Completed Application and Statistical Information Form
Individuals can apply online or submit a completed paper application by using the related download provided.
Please type or print legibly on the Application Form. Provide all requested information, sign and date the application. The information requested on the Statistical Information Form provides the University with a profile of its students and statistical data required for funding from the federal government and foundations. An applicant's admission to the University will not be affected if all questions are not answered.
Nonrefundable Application Fee
The nonrefundable application fee of $65 must accompany the Application Form. This fee can be paid by credit card (VISA or MasterCard) or check. Please make checks payable to John F. Kennedy University.
Undergraduate applicants must submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended (this includes schools attended that did not result in a degree, such as a community college). Transcripts not sent directly to the Admissions Office from the issuing institution must remain sealed to be considered official. Transcripts then become the property of the university and will not be returned or released to another party.
Additional Program Application Requirements
Some programs require additional items, such as letters of recommendation, an academic writing sample, resume, personal/goal statement, art portfolio, or an interview. An admissions counselor can assist you in determining what is required for the program you are interested in.
