The Vice President of Business & Administration (VPBA) oversees the offices of Business and Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Facilities, Financial Aid, Admissions & Marketing, and Human Resources. The VPBA is a key member of the executive team reporting directly to the University President.

The VPBA will manage administrative departments within the University and partner with colleagues from the National University System (NUS) to more fully integrate Kennedy’s procedures with these undertaken by the System. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working closely with the Vice President of Academic Affairs and the Vice President of Advancement to align and coordinate departments in fulfillment of operations and the strategic plan. Ensure that all department managers have sufficient analytics to review performance and support continuous improvement. Assume responsibility to ensure that the institution achieves financial and operational goals. Monitor and expedite existing procedures and facilitate the creation, communication, and implementation of new processes and procedures wherever necessary.

The ideal candidate will have an MBA and CPA with significant financial, sales, and marketing experience; Strong project management skills with an analytic approach towards operational initiatives; Passion for education, good sense of humor, demonstrated entrepreneurial tendencies, a winning attitude, good judgment, and a strong sense of integrity and ethics; Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to negotiate contracts; and the ability to multi-task, implement, and adapt to change.

Salary is competitive and dependent upon experience and qualifications.

This position is a regular, fulltime exempt position reporting to the University President, and includes vacation and sick leave benefits as well as a flexible benefit plan offering medical, dental, 403(b) retirement, FSA, dependent care, long term disability, basic life insurance and tuition waiver.
