Field Experience Coordinator, College of Graduate and Professional Studies, John F. Kennedy University, Pleasant Hill campus, 40 hours per week, primarily daytime hours, flexible times, must be willing to work evenings and Saturdays as needed. This full-time, exempt, grade 5 position comes with benefits that include vacation and sick leave accruals, medical, dental, vision, 403(b) retirement eligibility and some tuition waiver benefits. 

The requirements for this position include a MA degree in Counseling Psychology or related field, an MFT or PCC license is preferred (or an MFT Intern currently accruing hours toward licensure); experience or knowledge of licensing agencies; also the ability to: work independently and as a member of a team, track details and develop systems, and promote JFK University students and programs to the community. PC proficiency is required and should include Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, Internet Explorer and Google programs. Capacity to learn and use the e-college learning platform is mandatory. Travel will be required, thus a California driver’s license and auto insurance are necessary. (A California DMV printout may be requested.)

The duties of Field Experience Coordinator include supporting, advising, and monitoring the external and supplemental practicum component of the Counseling Psychology Programs on the Pleasant Hill and Berkeley campuses. The position is also responsible for the development and maintenance of all external and supplemental field placement sites. The Field Experience Coordinator works collaboratively on planning, coordinating and implementing an annual Internship Fair or similar event, and serves as liaison to the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).

The Field Experience Coordinator collaborates with the programs, the Community Counseling Centers in Concord, and Oakland and the MA students in external field placement. The position involves organizing trainings and meetings for students related to the external practicum placement process.

The successful candidate will have highly developed organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to track details and develop systems, and work effectively with a diverse constituency. Bilingual skills desirable.
