Core Faculty - MBA Program

The College of Graduate and Professional Studies (CGPS) at John F. Kennedy University is hiring a full time Core Faculty in the MBA Program at the Pleasant Hill campus. This full-time position comes with benefits that include medical, dental, vision, 403(b) retirement eligibility and some tuition waiver benefits.

The Core Faculty member of the MBA program reports directly to the Program Chair. Responsibilities include teaching 24 units annually, participation in curricula review and program development; serving as faculty advisor and mentor to students; promoting the MBA program through community involvement, networking, and informational meetings to increase student enrollment. Involvement in college and university governance is expected, as is maintaining a program of scholarship and community or professional service.

The ideal candidate will possess a Doctoral degree in Business Administration or equivalent from a regionally accredited university. Must have (a) experience teaching at the graduate level and (b) business curricula review and development, (c) faculty leadership, (d) mentoring adult students with diverse backgrounds, and (e) the ability to develop and lead a wide variety of educational marketing and development strategies to support recruitment efforts for the business programs. Other desired qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of current trends in management education
  • Experience teaching an innovative approach to management
  • Strong interpersonal and administrative skills
  • A commitment to diversity in all aspects of the educational process

The successful candidate will be committed to working as part of an academic team, and possess a strong background in theory and execution of business administration and marketing.
