Location: Oakland Counseling Center
Part Time Clinical Director at John F. Kennedy University Oakland Counseling Center. This is a 20 hours per week, temporary position. This position is in The Holistic Counseling Psychology Program that is designed to train ethical, culturally competent practitioner scholars to provide comprehensive, high quality therapy services to diverse clients across a variety of settings.
The Clinical Director (CD) provides clinical guidance to supervisors, trainees and staff. The CD monitors and updates center policies, procedures and materials. The CD plans and implements trainings for incoming students and ongoing clinical trainings. The CD oversees the provision of individual and group clinical supervision and resolves conflicts between supervisors and trainees. The CD provides administrative support to supervisors. The CD facilitates trainee readiness to graduate and promotes post-graduate transition. The CD responds to other agencies requesting client information. The CD promotes community building within the center. The CD also prepares and submits the supervisor payroll.
Requirements: MA, MS, Psy.D or Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology or related field. Licensed CA MFT, LCSW or Psychologist, minimum 5 years. Clinical supervisor, minimum 3 years. CAMFT Certified Supervisor preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to facilitate large group meetings. Ability to teach counseling skills. Ability to mediate conflict. Minimum of 2 years administrative experience with an eye for detail. Knowledge of somatic and transpersonal approaches to therapy.
