Clinical Coordinator, John F. Kennedy University Community Counseling Center in Concord, 40 hours per week, primarily daytime hours, must be willing to work evenings, and occasional Saturdays as needed. This full-time, exempt position and comes with benefits that include vacation and sick leave accruals, medical, dental, vision and 403(b) retirement eligibility benefits. Position reports directly to the Clinical Director of the JFKU Community Counseling Centers.
The Clinical Coordinator position focuses on the client-related and student trainee-related functions of the Center which includes providing clinical and administrative consultation to staff, supervisors, and student trainees regarding clinical training, policies/procedures, supervision, client management issues, and the assessment and assignment of clients to student trainees at the Center and in the School Based Program. The position facilitates the clinical orientation trainings to first quarter practicum students; manages the client/therapist tracking systems which include Medi-Cal, the Valant EHR, the client intake process for the Center, and is responsible for the clinical oversight of the Evaluation Committee, the Group Therapy program and the Peer Mentoring program.
Requirements for this position include a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social welfare, or a related field; Clinical license (psychologist, MFT, LCSW, LPCC) and 3 – 5 years experience in the professional field. Knowledge of legal and ethical regulations and standards of the profession is critical; must have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team, track details, develop systems, and present oral and written reports, and preferably have experience working with an Electronic Health Record Keeping system to manage client care. Strong administrative background which includes PC proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer and Google programs. Capacity to learn and use the online learning platform is mandatory. Bilingual skills and or fluency in Spanish is strongly favored.
