Administrative Coordinator, College of Graduate and Professional Studies, John F. Kennedy University, Community Counseling Center in Oakland, 20 hours per week, primarily daytime hours, must be willing to work evenings as needed. This part-time, non-exempt position is supervised by the Clinical Director of the Holistic Counseling Center in Oakland.
The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day administration of the Community Counseling Center. This includes handling facility and I.T. requests, coordinating and managing the schedules of trainees and clinical supervisors, and collecting and accounting for client fees. It also includes preparing bank deposits, maintaining various databases and administrative documents, and arranging new student informational meetings.
Requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university and preferably a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field; 2 – 5 years administrative experience; accurate attention to detail, excellent follow through, and ability to work on multiple projects with frequent interruptions; aptitude to work collaboratively on projects as well as independently with little supervision; demonstrate patience and professionalism when faced with stressful situations. Ability to track details, develop systems, and make oral and written reports. PC proficiency is required and should include Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, Internet Explorer and Google programs. Capacity to learn and use the online learning platform is mandatory. Bilingual skills and or fluency in Spanish is strongly favored.
